Hello my name is Stephanie,

I come from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, a place filled with vibrant culture, stunning beaches, and rich history that deeply inspires me. I’m passionate about reading and love diving into a great book that sparks my imagination. Exploring new places—whether it’s uncovering hidden gems in a bustling city or soaking in the tranquility of nature—is one of my favorite ways to connect with the world and fuel my curiosity.

I'm here to walk with you

You Might Be Here Because...

Anxiety, depression, stress, or past experiences may be taking up more space in your life than you'd like.

Perhaps you're constantly overthinking, feeling emotionally exhausted, or carrying responsibilities that leave little room to care for yourself. Maybe you've become so accustomed to pushing through that you've forgotten what it feels like to slow down and simply breathe.

You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, sad, disconnected, or constantly on edge. Maybe you're looking for relief, clarity, healing, or simply a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing without fear of judgment.

Whatever brought you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.

A Space Where You Can Be Yourself

One thing I want you to know from the beginning: seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Many of us have been taught to push through difficult emotions, stay strong for others, or handle everything on our own. For individuals from marginalized communities, there can be additional pressures to remain silent, minimize struggles, or carry burdens without support.

The challenges you're facing are not a reflection of your worth. Often, they are the result of prolonged stress, painful experiences, trauma, loss, or simply carrying too much for too long.

Therapy offers a space where you don't have to hold everything together. A place where you can show up exactly as you are and be met with compassion, understanding, and respect.

Who I Help

I specialize in supporting BIPOC children, teens, and adults who are navigating:

  • Racial trauma

  • Trauma and difficult life experiences

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Grief and loss

  • Anger and resentment

  • Emotional overwhelm

  • Identity-related stress

I am passionate about helping clients process painful experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, deepen self-understanding, and strengthen their relationships with themselves and others.

I especially enjoy working with:

  • Teens struggling with emotional regulation, self-esteem, or behavioral challenges

  • Individuals processing racial trauma and identity-related stress

  • People who have spent years being "the strong one" for everyone else

  • Clients navigating unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or resentment

What It's Like to Work With Me

Therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating.

My approach is warm, direct, collaborative, and conversational. While therapy often involves exploring difficult experiences, I believe healing can also include moments of laughter, self-discovery, and hope.

In our work together, I'll meet you where you are while helping you challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I view therapy as a partnership rather than a one-sided conversation.

My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself, asking questions, sharing openly, and growing at a pace that feels right for you.

Clients often describe me as approachable, grounded, genuine, and easy to talk to.

My Approach to Therapy

My work is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral approaches.

I believe healing happens when people feel emotionally safe, genuinely seen, and supported enough to explore their experiences without shame or judgment.

Together, we'll work to:

  • Understand how past experiences may be impacting your present life

  • Identify patterns that are no longer serving you

  • Develop practical coping skills

  • Build emotional resilience

  • Create meaningful and lasting change

Because every individual has a unique story, I tailor therapy to your specific needs, strengths, values, and goals.

Commitment to Growth and Professional Excellence

Providing effective therapy requires continual learning and growth.

I regularly pursue advanced training related to trauma, racial trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation, and culturally responsive care to ensure I am offering evidence-based and culturally informed support.

I am also currently pursuing EMDR training to expand my ability to help clients process trauma and foster long-term healing.

My commitment is to provide therapy that is both compassionate and clinically effective while continuing to grow alongside the communities I serve.

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it perfectly—you simply have to begin.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, or feelings of overwhelm, you deserve support.

If you're ready to feel more understood, more connected to yourself, and more equipped to navigate life's challenges, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Healing takes time, but you don't have to do it alone.
